There are different mediums of doing screen printing such as plastic inks, water based inks and so on. Out of these there is one sort of ink which though delivers an efficient result but likewise their drawbacks are equally hazardous. It’s the UV ink. Just have a look on their following disadvantages of UV ink:

• UV inks are very sensitive in nature especially on paper.
• In case of heavy application of UV ink, it tends to do abrupt application.
• It does not work on all the substances in comparison to all other substances
• UV ink fails to print on dark substances
• It fades out on thinker objects, easily
• It is an ideal ink for temporary use but does not give that long lasting effect

Though there are a number of companies supplying such inks but before buying such substances it’s always advisable to recheck the durability and authenticity factor to ensure an effective usage. Generally these inks delivers a flawless application but if the material or the ink used is difficult then it’s the flaunt of the buyer and the seller and not someone else’s.

With all such drawbacks, UV inks fails to gain a reputed stand for the professional use. However, it does pose some advantages which still make it a preferable choice for some.
